The final four in this year's Premier League Darts tournament have been confirmed after Luke Humphries secured his first nightly win in Birmingham.
After 14 previous weeks without a nightly win, reigning Premier League Darts champion Humphries picked the perfect moment to finally pick up his first £10,000 cheque of the campaign.
The 2024 World Darts Championship winner had endured a series of near misses but he had scraped together a number of wins without ending an event victorious.
Humphries has been dogged over the weeks to stay in contention and he was finally rewarded on the penultimate night before Finals Night at the O2 on Thursday 28th May.
Humphries eased past Stephen Bunting without dropping a leg in his quarter-final match, before beating his nemesis Luke Littler 6-3 with a stunning 110.98 average.
The long-awaited win over Littler saw him meet Gerwyn Price in the final and the world number two sealed a 6-4 win to book his place at the O2.
Price had earlier booked his place at Finals Night following his semi-final victory over Gian van Veen.
A defeat in the final would have left Humphries sweating ahead of next week's event in Sheffield and given both Michael van Gerwen and van Veen a slight chance.
But Humphries, who has been consistent but unfortunate on the road in the Premier League, found his best form to deny the Dutch duo.
Earlier in the night, Littler's quarter-final win over Jonny Clayton saw him secure top spot, while Clayton will finish second.
Price and Humphries head to Sheffield on the same number of points and both players will be keen to avoid Littler until the final in two weeks' time.
