Keith Deller MBE provides his best bets for Saturday evening's Grand Slam of Darts group stage clash between defending champion Luke Humphries and Rowby-John Rodriguez.
Luke Humphries v Rowby-John Rodriguez
Saturday 9th November (22:00)
Luke Humphries went all the way at the Grand Slam of Darts last year and he's my tip to repeat that feat this time around too.
He will want to make a winning start to the group stage campaign to ease any potential nerves, and I fully expect him to do that.
Rowby-John Rodriguez may not be a household name, but believe me, he is certainly no mug.
Luke has great professionalism and never takes his foot off the gas against anybody, which is a good job, because if he was to do this against Rowby then he could come unstuck.
In patches, Rowby can mix it with the very best, but his problem is maintaining that form over three or four legs, which he really struggles to do.
He will have moments of success, and he will win a leg or two in this match which is why I am playing a Humphries 5-2 victory.
They have met four times in the past five years, and Humphries has won them all in relatively comfortable fashion, and I expect this one to play out the same way too.
Odds will display when markets are live.
