Luke Humphries admits he is still bearing the scars of his 2024 Premier League final loss at the hands of Luke Littler.
'Cool Hand' reached the final of the event 12 months ago but succumbed to an eventual defeat against his Warrington rival, meaning his wait for a maiden Premier League crown was extended.
Littler may be the favourite this time around too, but Humphries has proven in the past that he is more than capable of seeing off 'The Nuke' on the biggest stage.

Luke Humphries has already reigned supreme in two of the seven nightly events in this year's Premier League and he boasts the tools to make it a hat-trick in Newcastle this Thursday.
The former world champion has shown a few signs of weakness in recent weeks however, letting slip his lead at the summit of the table and allowing Luke Littler to ascertain a six point lead, succumbing to quarter-final defeats on nights six and seven, at the hands of Littler and Michael van Gerwen.
He will toe the oche with Chris Dobey in the North East, a clash which presents him the opportunity of notching his first points since week five.

Luke Humphries landed the big one at London's Alexandra Palace in 2024, and will be keen to ensure another triumphant run in 2026 after Luke Littler took over the World Championship reins last time around.
'The Nuke' has been installed as favourite to retain his crown early next year, but Humphries will have his backers, having already proven his pedigree on the fabled Ally Pally stage.
