It is no coincidence that Paris Saint-Germain's success in Europe has coincided with the appointment of Luis Enrique, with the Spanish manager adding to what was already a remarkable list of managerial accolades.
While Enrique's brilliance is unquestionable, he has coached an embarrassment of riches in his club career with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
He led a Barca front three of Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr and Luis Suarez to UEFA Champions League glory in the 2014/15 campaign, and the Uruguayan centre forward features second in the list for the most expensive signings made by Enrique, joining the Catalan-based outfit for a reported €81.72m from Liverpool in 2014.
Randal Kolo Muani is Enrique's most expensive addition, joining Paris Saint-Germain from Eintracht Frankfurt for €95.00m in 2023. The Frenchman has left much to be desired in Paris however, loaned out on two occasions and currently plying his trade with Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Of the 10 players that make the list, nine have been signings made by Enrique with PSG, demonstrating the club's financial power in Europe.
