After finishing an impressive solo second on his Masters debut, we've priced Ludvig Aberg at 4/1 to win a Major in 2024.
The Swede excelled on his first appearance at Augusta National, exhibiting his immense talent and great resilience to come within four shots of the winner Scottie Scheffler.
A new star of European golf, Aberg's performance has prompted many to laud him as a future major champion.
Aberg's rise has been astronomical. Turning professional in June 2023, he was announced as one of Luke Donald's six captain's picks at the Ryder Cup, becoming the first competitor to feature in the competition without playing in a major.
Scooping two points from four matches on his Ryder Cup debut, Aberg followed up Team Europe's success by sealing his first win on the PGA TOUR at the RSM Classic in November.
In his first major appearance, Aberg successfully navigated Augusta National with scores of 73, 70 and 69 before three birdies on the front nine of his final round had him battling at the front.
With the pressure intensifying, he watched his approach shot find the water on the 11th hole at Amen Corner, though Aberg was completely unfazed.
One fateful misjudgement consequently led to a double bogey that cost him a shot at glory but the 24-year-old responded to the setback in emphatic fashion by registering birdies in two of the next three holes.
Other players have frequently wilted in those circumstances and yet Aberg displayed a mental fortitude that you would associate with a major champion.
With the trials and tribulations of Augusta under his belt, Aberg is expected to be in the contention in the second major of the year at the PGA Championship and is 14/1 (EW terms 1/4 1-5) to triumph at Valhalla.
The Swede is 28/1 to finish in the Top 5 of all four Majors (inc. Ties) and 3/1 to finish in the Top 20 of all four Majors (inc. Ties).
Tommy Fleetwood finished T3 at the Masters and has now recorded a top-five finish in all four major tournaments.
A final round of 69 ensured Fleetwood recorded his best-ever finish at Augusta and the Southport-born ace will be keen to carry the momentum into the rest of the year.
Fleetwood, who is still seeking his first victory on the PGA TOUR, is 9/1 to win a major in 2024.
Other players vying for their first major include Viktor Hovland (13/2), Xander Schauffele (8/1), Patrick Cantlay (8/1) and Will Zalatoris (9/1).
