There is some competitive action to enjoy on Sunday with a good card at Newcastle alongside jumps meetings at Plumpton and Ludlow and we have a tip at each meeting.
Here are the latest horse racing betting tips for Sunday's card from the Racing Post's Gary Savage.
2.53 Ludlow - Lost Connections @ 7/1
3.50 Plumpton - Andapa @ 7/1
7.00 Newcastle - Dare To Hope @ 10/1
2.53 Ludlow - Lost Connections @ 7/1
A competitive mares' handicap chase can see Katie Price's eight-year-old repeat her 2023 success with conditions looking ideal.
She goes into this race after unseating at Cheltenham, the same race she warmed up in last year, and she looked likely to run a similar race there but for her unfortunate mishap.
That Class 3 over 2m saw her running from out of the handicap, while she is off her proper mark today and so 7lb better off.
She is also reunited with Gavin Sheehan, who rode her to win this last year from a 5lb lower mark.
She looked to have the measure of Mulberry Hill that day when that one came down two out, forging on again after having her lead reduced as they rounded the home turn.
I expect Sheehan to employ similar tactics again today, on ground that is likely to be even faster than last year, and with none of her opponents having ticks in all the boxes of track, trip and ground, she can win this again.
3.50 Plumpton - Andapa @ 7/1
This is a decent Class 5 but I can't resist the claims of last year's runner-up who returns bidding to go one better having not hit the racetrack since.
A lover of decent ground, all of his four wins have come on good, he came into last year's contest off a seven-month absence, and again like last year, has had a wind operation in the meantime.
Trainer Marie Martin, who has taken over Mike Roberts' small string, has already had a flat winner and her sole jumps runner was second under today's jockey Robbie Dunne.
Andapa was beaten three quarters of a length last year by the reopposing Glance At Me, but is 15lb better off this time, and having been narrowly beaten here after another absence of nearly a year in 2020 he makes plenty of each-way appeal.
7.00 Newcastle - Dare To Hope @ 10/1
The highlight of a cracking card at Newcastle is undoubtedly the Class 2 over six furlongs that closes proceedings and Richard Fahey's upwardly-mobile four-year-old can take this valuable prize.
There is some very classy opposition towards the head of the weights, with thrice Listed-placed Juan Les Pins, and Windsor Castle runner-up Rocket Rodney carrying hefty burdens.
That means that, despite his good form, Dare To Hope will carry only 8st 9lb here as he bids to follow up his win on his seasonal debut.
That success, which was boosted when runner-up Mattice won at Ripon despite a 3lb rise, was especially creditable as Fahey's horses have generally been needing their first runs this season.
It also came over the minimum trip, whereas Dare To Hope's best runs had been at today's trip of six furlongs, including his sole run at the course last November.
He showed a real aptitude for the course and distance that day, meeting all sorts of trouble at a vital stage and merely coasting home to be beaten only three lengths, and can make amends today.
