Trainer Mark Loughnane is upbeat about the chances of his sprinter Triggered defying topweight over six furlongs at Newcastle on Monday night.
The six-year-old missed the break at Southwell last time but Loughnane expects a return to Gosforth Park to suit his gelding on Monday.
Triggered last ran at Newcastle on 4th January when finishing fourth behind Tommy Taylor over this trip, a race in which he finished only a nose adrift of the reopposing Burrows Seeside in third.
That form has since been boosted by the winner who went on to score a further three times.

Loughnane said: "Triggered dwelt a bit at the start last time at Southwell and was doing all his best work at the finish so we're hoping the return to a stiffer track will suit him.
"The last time he ran at Newcastle he finished fourth in a race that is working out well and on that form he goes there with a very good chance."
There are a host of previous course winners in the eight-runner line-up, including the busy Spartan Fighter who used to be owned by Clipper Logistics and hit a purple patch before Christmas.
His trainer Anthony Brittain said: "Spartan Fighter was in good form before Christmas but seems to have gone off the boil a little.
He likes the track and the trip but he just needs everything to drop right for him. I'd say we go there in hope rather than confidence."
