Leicester City's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday night marked the seventh consecutive Premier League game in which the Foxes have failed to score.
In a total contrast to manager Ruud van Nistelrooy's playing career, Leicester are utterly toothless in front of goal, and with them 12 points adrift with eight games to play, it seems a matter of when rather than if they go down.
While relegation seems inevitable, Foxes fans would at least like to see more endeavour and creativity from their side, something they look devoid of, amassing just 2.5xG in their last seven games.
Not even the most optimistic Leicester fan would've expected anything from their trip to the Etihad last night, but getting their first and only shot of the game off in the 16th minute was particularly underwhelming, and they may well be on course to create some unwanted Premier League history...
Crystal Palace fans will remember their dismal start to the 2017/18 season under Frank de Boer, and how it took them eight games to find the net for the first time, but the Eagles were actually closing in on their own record set in 1994/95.
The longest run without scoring a Premier League goal was set by Crystal Palace in the 1994/95 season, when they failed to score in nine consecutive games between 19 November 1994 and 2 January 1995, eventually ending their drought against Leicester on 14 January.
If Leicester are to avoid writing their names in the history books, they'll need to either score at home to Newcastle United next time out, or when they travel to Brighton after that.
Should they fail to score in either, they'll break the record by failing to score against Liverpool.
