With the 2023/24 season underway, we’ve priced up Liverpool’s trophy odds, with the Reds 6/4 to win a major trophy.

For the first time since 2015/16, Liverpool will ply their trade in Europe's secondary competition after finishing fifth in last season's Premier League, and will be hot favourites for the Europa League.

But as we saw last season, when the likes of Juventus, Sevilla, Barcelona, Ajax and Sporting CP all fell out of the Champions League, the competition could be stiffer when the knockout rounds begin.

Traditionally, Jurgen Klopp has rarely put much effort into the domestic cups, reaching just two quarter-finals in his first five full seasons before the FA and EFL Cup double in 2022 (which they’re 66/1 to repeat), and considering there may be five places on offer to Premier League clubs to qualify for the Champions League, plus another potential path via the Europa League, this season is unlikely to be any different.

Following a midfield overhaul which has seen Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch join the club, Liverpool have started the season well.

A 1-1 draw at Chelsea on the opening day has been followed by a 3-1 win over Bournemouth, a sensational comeback at St James Park to beat Newcastle 2-1 with 10 men and a resounding 3-0 victory over Unai Emery's Aston Villa.
