Pre-season League One promotion contenders Barnsley will be hoping to bounce back from their opening day disappointment when they travel to Lincoln City on Saturday afternoon.
The Tykes, who reached the play-offs last season, were surprisingly beaten at home by Mansfield Town in their first game of the season but they did reach the second round of the EFL Cup midweek, beating Wigan Athletic on penalties after the game finished 1-1 after 90 minutes.
Lincoln picked up all three points in their opening game as they won 3-2 at Burton Albion, but they were knocked out of the EFL Cup by League Two side Harrogate Town on Tuesday.
Lincoln v Barnsley has not been selected for TV coverage on Sky Sports during this round of League One fixtures.
Lincoln v Barnsley will be played at Sincil Bank in Lincoln and kick-off is at 15:00 GMT on Saturday 17th August 2024.
Lincoln are unbeaten in their last 10 football league games against Barnsley, which is a run stretching back to the 1973/74 season.
Barnsley lost their final four away league games in the 2023/24 season.
The last meeting between the two sides saw Lincoln record a 5-1 victory at Oakwell back in March.
