Nothing could separate Leeds United and Manchester United as they played out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
After a tough week for Man Utd -- which was deepened by Lisandro Martinez's extraordinary outburst on Tuesday night -- there was an expectancy that the cauldron that is Elland Road would prove too much for them on Sunday afternoon.
It was Michael Carrick's visitors who took the lead in West Yorkshire however, with Bryan Mbeumo netting his fourth goal of the Premier League season.
Youri Tielemans -- who played in a more advanced role for a second successive game -- delivered a perfectly weighted cross into the box, where the Cameroon international was able to expertly convert on his stronger left foot.
Leeds returned with a vengeance in the second half, and it was Dominic Calvert-Lewin who netted the equaliser. Tarik Muharemovic got the first contact from the corner, heading the ball into the path of the centre forward -- who emphatically fired home.
Both sides probed in the latter stages of the game -- with Anton Stach coming close in stoppage time -- but both defences stood firm.
It's a result that extends Man Utd's winless run to six games, and they travel to Como in midweek in the UEFA Champions League.
