Leeds United remain in hunt for Bundesliga striker

Leeds United are reportedly interested signing Stuttgart striker Ermedin Demirovic.

Football Insider have reported that Leeds have retained a long-standing interest in the Bosnian striker.

It is believed that Stuttgart are relucant to lose the 28-year-old, especially as the transfer window reaches a conclusion.

Leeds manager Daniel Farke is keen to secure the signing of another striker after Joel Piroe joined West Ham United on a season-long loan deal.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is Leeds' primary option up front but increased competition is believed to be a priority in the next week.

Demirovic joined Stuttgart from Augsburg in the summer of 2024 and has become a key fixture at the club.

The striker has scored 32 goals in 88 appearances across the last two seasons.

His performances have caught the attention of a number of clubs throughout Europe, with Galatasaray also thought to be a potential destination.

After securing their Premier League status last season, Leeds will be hoping to push on this season and they opened their campaign with a 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
