League Two permutations: Who could be relegated and who can finish in the play-offs this weekend?

It's been yet another fascinating season of League Two action and there's still plenty on the line as we approach the final weekend of the 2023/24 campaign.

Stockport County were crowned champions after sealing their first EFL title in 57 years and the Hatters were joined by Wrexham and Mansfield Town in the automatic promotion spots.

MK Dons have secured fourth in the standings and will face whoever finishes seventh in the play-offs.

At the other end of the table, Forest Green Rovers' seven-year stay in the Football League has ended but question marks remain on who will join them in the bottom two, with Sutton United still possessing a mathematical chance of avoiding relegation.

With the race for automatic promotion wrapped up, all eyes will be on a fascinating play-off battle, with as many as six teams aiming to fill the three remaining play-off spots.

Here we look at the full list of permutations ahead of the concluding weekend in League Two.

Doncaster Rovers (1/33)

Doncaster are the division's form team after winning 10 consecutive league matches and Grant McCann's side know a point in their final match against Gillingham will be enough to extend their season for at least another two matches.

If Doncaster were to lose against Gillingham, they would only fall out of the play-offs if Crewe avoided defeat and both Barrow and Crawley Town win their respective matches.

Crewe Alexandra (1/14)

Like Doncaster, the Railwaymen just need to avoid defeat against Colchester United to guarantee their spot in the play-offs.

Should Lee Bell's outfit lose their match at the JobServe Community Stadium, Barrow and Crawley need to win their respective matches to force Crewe out of the top seven.

Barrow (4/5)

Barrow missed a golden chance to secure their play-off place against Bradford on Tuesday but their fate remains in their own hands.

The Bluebirds welcome already-promoted Mansfield Town to Holker Street on the final day knowing that a win will secure a top seven finish.

Pete Wild's side can afford to draw against Mansfield, as long as Crawley Town don't win their match, while the only way Bradford would be able to overhaul Barrow if they drew is if they beat Newport County with a seven goal swing.

If Barrow are beaten by Mansfield, the Cumbrian side will need to hope that Crawley, Bradford and Walsall fail to win, though even if the Saddlers do win, their goal difference is significantly inferior.

Crawley Town (Evens)

Crawley Town entertain lowly Grimsby Town in their concluding fixture knowing a win and a Barrow draw/loss will secure a play-off berth.

If Barrow are defeated by two goals or more against Mansfield and Bradford fail to beat Newport, a draw will be enough for Crawley, as long as Walsall don't beat AFC Wimbledon by a five goal margin.

Bradford City (9/2)

Similarly to Doncaster, Bradford City have enjoyed a strong end to the season which has left them in with a chance of achieving a play-off place.

The Bantams defeated play-off rivals Barrow on Tuesday night to move within two points of the top seven but Graham Alexander's side are relying on other results ahead of the final day.

Bradford must win their final match against Newport County and hope Barrow lose to Mansfield and Crawley fail to beat Grimsby.

Walsall (250/1)

Walsall relinquished a two-goal lead against Bradford City last weekend to severely damage their hopes of a play-off place.

The Saddlers must go to AFC Wimbledon and win by at least five goals while hoping the teams above them - Barrow, Crawley Town and Bradford - all suffer defeat if they're to miraculously sneak inside the top seven.

Battle for survival

Colchester United (25/1)

Colchester need a point to secure survival and they entertain a Crewe side who, coincidentally, also need a point to guarantee a play-off spot.

A win would be more than enough for Danny Cowley's men but if they were to lose their final match, Sutton United would need to beat MK Dons and overhaul a four goal deficit to have any chance of relegating Colchester.

Sutton United (1/100)

Sutton United's survival hopes looked dead and buried a few weeks ago but a run of four consecutive wins were an indication that Steve Morison's side were not going to give up without a fight.

They were on course for a vital win over Crawley, which would have moved them to within a point of Colchester, until Klaidi Lolos' stoppage time equaliser.

For Sutton to avoid relegation, only a win against MK Dons, a Colchester defeat and a four goal swing in their favour will suffice.
