LCS Summer Split continues as the top teams currently look to continue their firm control at the top of the standings.
Several of the teams have really separated themselves from the rest of the field in North America.
EG and Team Liquid continue to pace the rest of the field. This week could get interesting for both teams as Liquid takes on CLG, and Evil Geniuses must deal with 100 Thieves. FlyQuest looks to stay in the hunt with a clash against Dignitas.
What | Team Liquid v CLG, LCS Summer |

Odds | Liquid 2/9, CLG 3/1 |
CLG is coming off an ugly performance against another one of the top teams in LCS as they lost at the hands of EG rather quickly. Team Liquid currently sits tied for second with 100 Thieves in the overall standings at 7-3. Their three previous defeats have come at the hands of 100 Thieves, EG and TSM.
CLG is 5-5 so far this season and hasn't won since they beat last place Immortals during week 4. They must find a way to get the right draw, or they will easily pick up a sixth loss during this event.
Bwipo was the top performer for Team Liquid in their 1-0 defeat of Immortals already this week. Which has been a common occurrence for Liquid as they have finished top three in everything in 2022.
CLG had a good start to this event, but it has been evident that they lack consistency.
What | Evil Geniuses v 100 Thieves, LCS Summer |
Where | USA |
When | 22:30, Sunday 24th July 2022 |
How to watch | LCS Twitch & YouTube |
Odds | Evil Geniuses 1/2, 100 Thieves 6/4 |
100 Thieves has a legit shot to close the standings gap as they face the league leading Evil Geniuses team. The Thieves have already picked up an important victory this week as they took down TSM.
EG was able to take care of business as they beat CLG in Saturday's action. The Thieves sit two wins behind Evil Geniuses, but a head-to-head win could really go a long way for either team in this match-up.
The match-up between EG's Impact and 100 Thieves' FBI will be something to keep an eye on. Both have proven to be some of the best players in North America when it comes to League of Legends.
Jojopyun has been one of the best players overall as he has been a player of the game three times during this Summer Split. He along with Inspired and Danny could make things too tough for the 100 Thieves to overcome.
The Thieves might have a strong leader in their line-up but they lack the true firepower across their whole line-up.
What | FlyQuest v Dignitas, LCS Summer |
Where | USA |
When | 00:30, Monday 25th July 2022 |
How to watch | LCS Twitch & YouTube |
Odds | FlyQuest 1/2, Dignitas 6/4 |
FlyQuest will try to keep in playoff contention as they face-off against one of the bottom feeders of LCS Summer Split. Dignitas is tied for last place at 2-8 on the season and has lost three-straight matches.
As for FlyQuest they sit fourth at 6-4 and were able to snap a recent losing streak with a win over Golden Guardians. They will need another good performance from the likes of toucouille, who was the MVP of FlyQuest's recent victory.
FlyQuest has really made some moves up the table in the last couple weeks. That comes after starting the first two weeks with losing records.
They must avoid falling behind early in this match-up because that has been their one issue especially against teams that are worse in the standings. That includes poor losses against Immortals and TSM. Luckily for them TSM currently holds the eighth place in the 10 team standings.
FlyQuest made the playoffs in the Spring as one of the last teams in. They are higher than they were this time around, and a win over Dignitas will only help their playoff push.
A loss here against another non-playoff contender all but wrecks the teams' chances. Expect a tough challenge from an experienced Dignitas team, but FlyQuest is still the safe choice.
