Chelsea forward Lauren James is set to make her comeback from injury when England take on Jamaica at the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening.
The 23-year-old has not featured since April after suffering a hamstring injury and her return is a timely boost as the Lionesses finalise their Women's Euros preparations.
England get their Women's Euros campaign underway against France next Saturday and while it could take some time for James to find her fitness, the expectation is that she could play a key role as England plot their path to the latter stages of the tournament.
James featured prominently as England reached the final of the 2023 Women's World Cup and she could be pivotal to Sarina Wiegman's side as England look to defend their Euros crown.
Wiegman has confirmed that James will be involved at Leicester on Sunday but she highlighted the fact that the coaching staff will have to manage her workload over the next couple of weeks.
"She's doing really well, but of course she hasn't played games yet," said Wiegman in her pre-match press conference.
"She showed up in the training sessions really well. She could cope with loads and also recover from loads.
"Her performance has been really good. She's ready; we're just still growing into minutes. This is the first time in a while that she's coming into a game.
"She needs to get through that. Then we'll take it from there towards the tournament."
