La Liga Saturday Accumulator: Real to roll on in Madrid derby as part of 20/1 four-fold acca

With four La Liga games spread out on Saturday, including the Madrid derby between Real and Atletico, we have picked out a selection from each match that would return at 20/1 if successful.

The day starts with Espanyol, who are among several clubs still in the relegation scrap in Spain, hosting eighth-place Mallorca at 13:00 before Cadiz entertain Rayo Vallecano at 15:15.

The pick of the action is the Madrid derby at 17:30 when Real and city rivals Atletico meet at the Bernabeu, while second-bottom Valencia are at home to third-place Real Sociedad at 20:00. Our four-fold accumulator works out at odds of 20/1.

Saturday four-fold acca:

The following La Liga four-fold accumulator is priced at 20/1:

Mallorca to win @ 5/2

Cadiz or draw - Double chance @ 4/9

Real Madrid to win @ 4/5

Real Sociedad to win @ 11/8

Odds were correct at time of writing and are subject to change.

Mallorca to see off relegation-threatened Espanyol

OddsEspanyol 11/8, Draw 19/10, Mallorca 5/2

Espanyol are down in 13th and are only two points clear of the relegation zone in what is a congested bottom half.

Diego Martinez's side did pick up a much-needed 1-0 win last weekend but they left it very late to see off rock-bottom Elche when Sergi Darder struck in the 90th minute and this is a tougher test against Mallorca.

The visitors also won last time, a 4-2 home victory over Villarreal, and they impressed when seeing off Real Madrid earlier this month, too, in a 1-0 home success.

Therefore, backing Mallorca - who are five places and seven points better off in the table than the hosts on Saturday - seems a wise way to start the accumulator.

Cadiz home form makes it tricky for Vallecano

OddsCadiz 19/10, Draw 2/1, Rayo Vallecano 17/10

Cadiz are in the bottom three and know a defeat against Vallecano, who are unbeaten in four outings and sit up in sixth in the table, will leave them firmly in the relegation mire.

However, they have given themselves hope of staying up in recent weeks with wins over Mallorca and Girona and their home form for much of this season is actually quite impressive.

Sergio Gonzalez's side have not lost in front of their own fans since September, drawing five and winning four of their nine home matches since losing to Barcelona in late summer and they may well avoid defeat again.

Vallecano are unbeaten in four outings but have drawn the last two and Saturday's clash at the Nuevo Mirandilla could easily end all square.

Real will come into El Derbi on a high after they humbled Liverpool 5-2 at Anfield in their Champions League last-16 first-leg clash on Tuesday.

Carlo Ancelotti's side were ruthless as they exposed Liverpool, coming from 2-0 down to secure a famous win, and now they will expect to follow up with a sweet victory over their local rivals Atleti.

Los Blancos are eight points adrift of leaders Barcelona and a slip-up against the fourth-placed Colchoneros could signal the end of their fading title aspirations as Barca will be expected to win at struggling Almeria on Sunday.

Atletico are in a scrap for a top-four finish as they have far too much ground to make up to muscle in on the title race themselves, but they are unbeaten in four matches, winning three of those games 1-0 and drawing the other.

That run seems set to come to an end at the Bernabeu, however, as Real aim to extend their winning sequence in all competitions to six games.

Valencia's dismal run continued in Ruben Baraja's first game in charge when they lost 1-0 at Getafe on Monday night.

That was Los Che's fifth La Liga defeat on the spin, during which time they have only managed one goal, and they are second-bottom, two points behind Cadiz, Almeria and Getafe all above them in the table.

It doesn't get any easier for Valencia in Saturday's late game when they host third-placed Sociedad, who are two points clear of Atletico as the race to finish in the top four hots up.

Baraja will hope his first home game in charge sees the fans get behind his players at the Mestalla and there were signs of improvement against Getafe to suggest they will start to pick up some vital points soon.

However, this is a stiff test and another damaging loss looks to be on the cards.
