Reigning world champion Kyren Wilson has been priced at 10/1 to successfully defend his Crucible crown next year after landing his seventh major ranking title at the Xi'an Grand Prix.
Odds will display when markets are available.
'The Warrior' edged a tense and dramatic final in China on Sunday afternoon, overturning an 8-7 deficit to reel off the final three frames to overcome the pre-match favourite and land the inaugural Xi'an Grand Prix title.
Wilson's triumph, which was only his second in China on the back of his 2015 Shanghai Masters success, also earned him a bumper £177,000 in Prize Money, enough to move him to the top of the WST's one-year ranking list and close in on Judd Trump at the top of Order of Merit.
Ronnie O'Sullivan's semi-final defeat, at the hands of Wilson, coupled with Trump's progression through to the final, saw 'The Ace in the Pack' re-establish himself as the new world number one on Saturday, and he had vowed to back up that milestone with victory in the showpiece final.
However, despite showing his qualities, he had no answer to Wilson's late charge, as the Kettering cueist displayed remarkable composure to claim victory on what proved a memorable conclusion to a wonderful week of snooker in Asia.
Wilson and Trump traded blows from the off, with neither player able to ascertain a two-frame advantage until the very last leg, where 'The Warrior's' clinically taken break of 89 saw him romp past the winning post.
Serial ranking event winner Trump had looked to be in the ascendency when his wonderfully crafted 104 put him to within two frames of victory at 8-7, only for his opponent to produce his finest work on the green baize when it mattered most.
The 2024 World Snooker Champion's success will serve as the perfect preparation ahead of the upcoming Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters which gets underway on Friday.
The new event will see Wilson and Trump, along with the other top 16 players, enter the competition in the last 32, with a mammoth £500,000 winner's cheque on offer.
