KSI v Joe Fournier: Tale of the Tape

We assess the profile and characteristics of YouTube boxing star KSI and former WBA international light heavyweight champion Joe Fournier as the pair prepare to engage in an exhibition bout in London under the banner of Misfits Boxing.

British social media megastar KSI will continue his foray into the boxing world as he takes on his toughest opponent to date in the form of undefeated professional fighter Joe Fournier in front of a sold out O2 Arena in London.

Initially making his name as a YouTuber before entering into the spheres of rap music and boxing, KSI is undefeated in six outings in the ring.

His first boxing fight took place back in February 2018, with 'The Nightmare' overcoming fellow British YouTube star Joe Weller via TKO in Round 3 at the Copper Box Arena in Manchester.

Since then, KSI's boxing career has gone from strength to strength, engaging in a much-publicised sequel of fights with American social media behemoth Logan Paul in which he drew the first and won the second, before launching his very own influencer boxing platform Misfits Boxing in 2021.

Winning his first three fights as the face of Misfits Boxing, knocking out two opponents in one night in the form of Swarmz and Luis Alcaraz Pineda in August of last year before also finishing FaZe Temper in January, KSI's latest bout against Joe Fournier looks set to provide his sternest test yet, and the six-round fight is 13/8 to go the distance, and Over 4.5 Rounds can be backed at 4/5.

40-year-old Joe Fournier is certainly the most experienced boxer KSI will have ever faced, with the successful businessman having contested nine professional bouts between 2015 and 2021 without defeat, even holding the vacant WBA light heavyweight title in 2017.

Fournier is a close friend and former sparring partner of former two-weight world champion David Haye, by whom he was handed his only defeat inside the ring in an exhibition bout in September 2021.

The experience of Fournier faced with the tigerish intensity of KSI makes for an intriguing match-up in styles, with an entertaining spectacle in store for fans of influencer boxing all around the world.

For KSI, Joe Fournier represents a stepping stone towards even bigger fights down the line, with the 29-year-old long linked with a money-spinning bout against fellow YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and more recently the American's conqueror Tommy Fury.

'The Badass Billionaire' is not an opponent to be sneered at, however, and we are likely to see KSI face far more adversity than he has in previous bouts as he prepares to put it all on the line in front of his ardent home fans.

KSI is rated as as the hot favourite to win the fight at odds of 1/6, with his opponent Joe Fournier a 7/2 outsider. KSI can be backed to win by KO, TKO or DQ at 4/6, and 12/5 to win by decision or technical decision.
