Rob Tebbutt provides his best bets for Junaid Bostan vs Bilal Fawaz as the two get set to go head-to-head in a domestic bout for the English super-welterweight title.
Junaid Bostan and Bilal Fawaz meet on Friday night, with the vacant English super-welterweight title on the line at London’s O2 Indigo Arena.
Bostan is considered by many to be one of the brightest prospects in British boxing, with the unbeaten 22-year-old compiling an impressive 10-0 (8 KOs) resume under the stewardship of esteemed trainer Grant Smith.
Fawaz is a capable fighter in his own right, with a couple of respective wins at area level, but he simply isn’t on the same skill level as Bostan and I expect this to be a painful night for him.
A maturing Bostan has shown patience in his recent outings, and I feel his size, speed and superior skill-set will prove too much for Fawaz as he chips away en route to another stoppage win on Friday night.
