Juddmonte International Odds: City of Troy strong favourite at York

City of Troy is a strong favourite to land the prestigious Juddmonte International Stakes at York's Ebor Festival on Wednesday afternoon.

Aidan O'Brien is targeting a record-breaking seventh victory in the race with a horse that has already won the Derby and the Eclipse this year.

A third successive victory Group 1 victory for City Of Troy could put the three-year-old in prime position to challenge for both the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and Ascot's Champion Stakes in October.

An interesting field awaits in Yorkshire this week, however, with the likes of Ambiente Friendly, second in the Derby, and in-form King Edward VII winner Calandagan also in the reckoning.

Bluestocking was an impressive winner of the Pretty Polly Stakes over in Ireland before finishing second to Goliath in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, while Alflaila was a course and distance winner in last month's York Stakes.

Other contenders include Ghostwriter, who was two lengths behind City Of Troy in the Eclipse, and Israr, who has the potential to outrun big odds off the back of his Royal Ascot triumph.
