bet365's boxing expert Rob Tebbutt previews Saturday evening's light-heavyweight bout between Joshua Buatsi and Willy Hutchinson and explains why he feels the betting value lies in the pre-fight favourite.
Joshua Buatsi takes on Willy Hutchinson on the Daniel Dubois v Anthony Joshua undercard in a match-up that could see the winner challenge for a world title in their next bout.
Unbeaten 2016 Olympian Buatsi has been on the periphery of the light-heavyweight elite for the last two or three years, but will have to be mindful of plucky underdog Hutchinson who himself is coming off the best win of his career against Craig Richards last time out.
Hutchinson possesses all of the skill and youthful exuberance to give the more stoic, settled Buatsi a tricky fight early-on, but I expect the more experienced man to eventually get the job done the longer the fight goes.
We saw Hutchinson tire and slow his feet late-on against Richards, which almost allowed him back into the fight, but Hutchinson was able to safely navigate the rest of the fight.
I expect Buatsi to have more energy and pace in his work than Richards had and I feel he’ll find a way to get the job done in the second half of the fight - but don’t be surprised if Hutchinson is ahead until he gets clipped.
