Adam Catterall's Josh Hokit vs Derrick Lewis Tips

  • Derrick Lewis by KO, TKO, or DQ - 4/1

Since making his MMA debut just three years ago, Josh Hokit has breathed new life into a heavyweight division is desperate need for new contenders.

Having previously played in the NFL, and possessing a background in collegiate wrestling, Hokit possesses athleticism unrivalled by much of the UFC roster, and his polarising antics outside the cage have made him a lighting rod for controversy.

In April Hokit bested perennial heavyweight contender Curtis Blaydes in a fight that proved he has the skills to back up his trash talk, and now he will step into the biggest fight of his burgeoning career at the White House.

Standing across the cage will be Derrick Lewis, one of the most devastating KO artists in MMA history, and a personal favourite of US president Donald Trump.

While Lewis looked a shadow of his former self against Waldo Cortes Acosta in January, the 'Black Beast' has an ability to produce his best when the stakes are highest and MMA expert Adam Catterall insisted he will add another highlight reel knockout to his resume this weekend.

"This is a bizarre fight, it’s a fun fight and it will absolutely light up the eyes of everybody that is watching it," Catterall said on bet365 Cageside.

"I’m favouring Hokit just because of what I saw against Curtis Blaydes but Derrick Lewis just has this tendency to deliver madness.

"I think he’s going land on Hokit’s chin and knock him out.

"There’s my prediction, that’s it. I’ve no logic, I’ve no data, I’ve no numbers or anything like that to bring to you I just have a feeling that the MMA gods are going to allow Derrick Lewis to knock out Josh Hokit at the White House."
