Joseph Parker will enter a bout with absolutely anyone after proposing the idea of fighting on the Oleksandr Usyk v Daniel Dubois 2 undercard on Saturday 19th July.
The current WBO interim heavyweight champion is the mandatory challenger for the winner of Usyk v Dubois 2, although Parker acknowledges he will likely be playing a waiting game depending on the result of the Wembley clash.
Parker was originally scheduled to fight Dubois for the IBF title in February but after the Briton withdrew from the contest due to illness, the Kiwi encountered Martin Bakole and made easy work of the Scotsman with a second-round stoppage.
Whilst Parker waits in the wings for a world title shot, the 33-year-old is eager to remain active in the meantime and has targeted a slot on the Usyk v Dubois 2 undercard with a trilogy match-up against Derek Chisora in mind.
"I'd like to be out ASAP," Parked explained to The Ring. "I know Usyk and Dubois are fighting on July 19, I'd like to either fight not long after that, or it'd be great if I could be on the same card. That's been floated by Queensberry, so it'd be nice.
"Who do I fight? I'm not sure. The belts are held up at the moment. Usyk and Dubois have the belts, and whoever wins, who knows what kind of rematch clauses are in the contract.
"It'd be nice to fight anyone. It'd be nice to fight someone like... Derek Chisora is looking for his 50th fight, and I'm not sure if he's going to fight for a title.
I know I've beaten him twice, but I've never had a trilogy in my career, so Derek always brings it, and it could be a good sort of fight to keep me busy.
If Chisora isn't up for the fight, Parker has plenty of other opponents under consideration.
"There's also Dillian Whyte," he added. "Fabio Wardley is fighting Justis Huni this weekend, or very soon. There's many options out there. I know [Martin] Bakole wants a rematch, too.
"But I think it would be awesome to fight on the undercard of Usyk and Dubois. I'll fight anyone. Like I said, if there's no one else to fight, Derek Chisora is always keen.
"He's always up for it but he's also got a great following, and he's looking for his 50th fight, and then I'll try and get the winner of Usyk and Dubois."
