After Florentino Perez successfully navigated a tough presidential election campaign, legendary manager Jose Mourinho is now set for his presentation.
The former Porto, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United boss has signed a contract with Real Madrid until 2029.
Mourinho landed in Madrid earlier today (Tuesday 9th June) and, although it was assumed that his presentation would take place on Wednesday, it now looks set to take place on Thursday 11th June.
Immediately following his presidential win on Sunday, Florentino Perez begun to make some significant announcements, confirming the signings of Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries, as well as the return of the Special One.
Speaking about Mourinho's appointment, Perez stated "we will continue to be proud to have the best players in the world, proud that one of the best coaches in the world, a Madridista like José Mourinho, is returning."
Surprisingly, Mourinho's unveiling will not take place at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, despite reports.
While the exact location is yet to be confirmed by club officials, it is expected to take place at Los Blancos' Valdebebas training complex.
Real Madrid paid an eye-watering €15 million to release the Special One from his Benfica contract and sign him for the 2026/27 season.
Mourinho's contract at Real Madrid is reportedly worth around €7m a season, with the Portuguese manager signing a three year contract in Madrid.
