Everything you need to know as domestic rivals Jordan Gill and Zelfa Barrett get set to collide in an intriguing super-featherweight contest in Manchester on Saturday 13th April.
The contest will take place on Saturday 13th April at the top of a bill that also features Rhiannon Dixon v Karen Carabajel's world title showdown.
The bout has been pencilled in for around 22:00 (GMT), although this is subject to the length of the undercard bouts scheduled to take place earlier in the night.
The fight will take place in Manchester at the AO Arena.
The venue has played host to a large number of fights over the past decade as well as live music events.
Jordan Gill is the 6/4 underdog with Zelfa Barrett priced up as the 8/15 favourite.
The dust-up will be streamed live on DAZN to customers in the UK.
No belts will be on the line for this particular fight although both fighters have previously held professional straps.
Gill is the current holder of the WBA International super-featherweight title that he prized away from Michael Conlan in sensational fashion last year, but the title won't be put on the line in Manchester.
Gill has also held possession of the European and Commonwealth featherweight titles, whilst Zelfa Barrett has previously captured the English, Commonwealth and European super-featherweight belts.
28-2 (9 KOs)
On the back of his sensational stoppage victory over Michael Conlan, Jordan Gill will be hoping that 2024 is his year.
'The Thrill' proved a revelation on his super-featherweight debut in Belfast, stopping the two-time world title contender and 2012 Olympic bronze medallist in his own backyard.
It was the statement victory Gill had long been craving having only even been beaten by the durable and rugged Enrique Tinoco in 2019 and veteran world champion Kiko Martinez in the summer of 2022.
30-2 (16 KOs)
Zelfa Barrett will be hoping to maintain his momentum as he eyes up a potential second world title opportunity later this year.
The Manchester-born fighter was stopped by IBF super-featherweight champion Shavkat Rakhimov in Abu Dhabi last year, just four months after landing the European strap thanks to a points success over Faroukh Kourbanov.
He has responded with impressive decision victories over Jason Sanchez and Costin Ion since that defeat however, and knows a third straight triumph over Gill in April will catapult him back into the mix for world honours.
