Perth Glory have been handed a boost as goalkeeper Brad Jones is set to return to action against Sydney FC on Saturday afternoon.
Glory are priced at 4/1 to finish in the top six of the A-League this season and the return of Jones could not be more timely after Liam Reddy picked up a hip injury.
Jones arrived at Glory during the close season but only managed to play in the opening two rounds before sustaining a serious calf injury.
The 39-year-old is now back fit and will slot straight into the side that takes on the Sky Blues after Reddy suffered a hip flexor injury in the 2-1 loss to Adelaide United.
Garcia hits out at sloppy Glory
Garcia gleeful as Glory head home
Jones may have been out injured but he still got to experience life on the road and says it has been tough going for the Glory players.
"Now it's about getting the consistency that we missed so much in the first half of the season," Jones said. "Don't underestimate the difficulty of moving from hotel to hotel, and trying to still be involved with our families.
"All that stuff is not normal, and it doesn't help with the consistency of the team on the pitch."
Sydney arrive in the west not having won in five games and Glory boss Richard Garcia is desperate to keep that run going.
"They (Sydney) will be looking to bounce back after a series of results that have gone against them," Garcia said. "They've always got a dangerous squad of players, so we're going to have to be at our best.
"It's very much in our hands on what we do. We're at home, we want to be on the front foot."
