Jhon Duran has made a name for himself as one of football's top emerging talents, following numerous impressive cameos for Aston Villa in the first half of the 2024/25 campaign.
Jhon Duran had a fantastic start to the 2024/25 campaign in all competitions for Aston Villa following a turbulent summer transfer window. Speculation regarding his future has now re-emerged, with a move to Al Nassr looking likely in January.
It is no surprise that a player of Duran's quality is seeking consistent game time, and there is no doubt that the Colombian can become one of the biggest starts in the Saudi Pro League as a teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.
We take a deep dive into Duran's profile and attributes following an exceptional breakthrough season.
Born on 13th December 2003, Duran is currently 21 years old.
Originally from Zaragoza, Colombia, Duran was a product of the Envigado youth academy.
The Colombian had to leave his hometown to chase his football dreams, and has certainly reaped the rewards.
Duran is very much a modern day centre forward, and can play both as a lone striker, or as part of a front two.
Duran is 6ft 1ins and lean and powerful in build.
The Colombian international is naturally left-footed, with his unique ball striking ability proving troubling for goalkeepers.
Jhon Duran's height, combined with his immense physical attributes, makes him a nightmare for defenders.
An array of goals this season has highlighted the talisman's impressive unpredictability in front of goal, ranging from clinical close range finishes to a stunning strike past England's number 1 goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, when starring in Aston Villa's 3-2 win over Everton earlier in the 2024/25 campaign.
An industrious player who has been consistently impactful, both in and out of possession.

He then earned a move to Chicago Fire, where he played 27 times for the senior team, scoring on eight occasions.
After just one season at Chicago Fire, former European Cup winners Aston Villa came calling, signing Duran in a deal estimated to be around £18 million.
He is now into his third season at the club and is making a name for himself at Villa Park, but looks set to move on following interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Duran represented Colombia at youth level, playing twice for the U17's.
He made his senior debut on the 24th September 2022, replacing one of Colombia's all time top forwards, Radamel Falcao.
He has made 15 appearances for his home nation, and will likely receive many more if he can continue his recent impressive form.
