Everton have completed the loan signing of Danish attacker Jesper Lindstrøm from Serie A side Napoli, with an option to buy should his spell at Goodison Park prove fruitful.
Sean Dyche's side have been busy in the transfer window thus far, with the Danish international being the fourth player in the door. Jack Harrison has returned on loan, while former Sheffield United man Iliman Ndiaye and Aston Villa youngster Tim Iroegbunam have joined on a permanent basis, as the Toffees look to improve their attacking output.
The Merseysiders struggled for goals last season and it is clear that the intention is to provide figurehead Dominic Calvert-Lewin with more service should he stay at the club, something Lindstrøm will be very capable of, having shone for Frankfurt in their Europa League winning season in 2021/22.
Here's all you need to know about Everton's new man Jesper Lindstrøm.
Jesper Lindstrøm was born on the 29th February 2000, making him 24 years of age at the time of writing.
Lindstrøm spent his early years in the Høje-Taastrup municipality in Denmark, before moving to Brøndby for the remainder of his youth career.
Lindstrøm has featured for Denmark at U-19 and U-21 levels, and is now a full senior international with 16 caps under his belt.
According to reports, Everton have paid an initial loan fee of €3m to Napoli for the Dane's services.
The Toffees do retain an option to buy at a reported €22m should Lindstrøm leave a positive mark on the Goodison faithful.
Details of Lindstrøm's salary at the Toffees are yet to be confirmed as he is only at the club on loan initially.
He is at the club on a one-year loan deal, and any details such as contract length and salary will be discussed further should Everton trigger the option to buy.
Lindstrøm stands at around 6ft, tall enough to not be pushed around easily by opposition defenders, but slender enough to retain his pace and quick feet on the attack.
The Dane's preferred foot is his right, however he is known to be capable with both feet, another weapon in the arsenal of the 24 year old.
Jesper Lindstrøm is a versatile attacking midfielder, capable of playing centrally or from both the left and right, something that Everton will see as incredibly valuable within their thin squad.
He is a strong carrier of the ball, and will allow a quick route out on the counter-attack for a Toffees side set up in a Sean Dyche fashion.
In fact, the Danish man will fit right into Dyche's system, possessing many of the qualities required to play for the Englishman. He is incredibly proactive both in and out of possession, willing to put the yards in in both the defensive and attacking sides of the game. During his time in Germany with Frankfurt, he was in the top ten percent of attacking midfielders for tackles made in the defensive third.
Lindstrøm is not always involved in build-up play, however the pace and dynamism to his game will stretch defences, threatening with off the ball runs in transition and on the ball runs through the lines, another asset that will see him fit into a direct side.
Due to his slender frame, Toffees fans can expect to see plenty of body feints and drops of the shoulder as he drives towards opposition boxes.

Jesper Lindstrøm first broke through into senior football at Danish side Brøndby in the 2019/20 season. The Dane made his first start and scored his first senior goal in a 3-2 win over Odense Boldklub, as well as featuring in the club's Europa League qualification run that season.
His first real breakthrough came at Frankfurt, who saw enough promise in his performances that they paid €7m for his services. Lindstrøm had a superb first season, despite being on the inconsistent side for the first half of it. A sublime second half of the campaign, in which he linked up lethally with Daichi Kamada and Rafael Borre, saw him pick up Bundesliga's rookie of the year award.
On top of this, Frankfurt would have a fantastic season in Europe, with Lindstrøm at the heart of it, lifting the Europa League following victories over Real Betis, Barcelona, West Ham United and finally, a penalty shootout win over Rangers in the final.
The attacker would score Frankfurt's first ever Champions League goal in their first ever win in the competition against Marseille the following season. However, the club's underwhelming performance in the league and Europe meant that Lindstrøm also struggled to shine.
Following two years in Germany, Napoli had a bid accepted for around €30m and the Dane was on the move to Italy. However, he never got a chance to shine with the Italian club and was limited to around 400 minutes across 22 appearances for the club, as Napoli finished the season with the worst defence of a Scudetto in history.
Lindstrøm first featured for Denmark at U-19 level, where he played three games before being accelerated through to the U-21s.
He featured 10 times for the U-21s side, until he was called up by Kasper Hjulmand to play for the senior team in 2020 against Sweden.
The then 22 year old impressed and was included in Denmark's World Cup squad in 2022, making his tournament debut against Tunisia when he replaced Andreas Skov Olsen in the 65th minute of a 0-0 draw.
In Jesper Lindstrøm, Everton are bolstering what was a thin attacking lineup prior to this window. Everton finished the 2023/24 season as the Premier League's lowest scorers. If they could add goals to a resolute Sean Dyche side that ended up with the second highest number of clean sheets in the league, then they would be able to start looking up the table and challenging once again for a top half finish.
Sean Dyche has a favoured type of player, and Lindstrøm fits that bill. He will provide lots of energy to the side, who press high up the pitch when possible and aim to win the ball back in the final third. On top of this, he is willing to chase men back and put his body on the line in tackles and blocks.
The Dane uses his trickery and quick feet to either beat defenders and drive forward or win fouls, two things very valuable in providing outlets and attacking opportunities to the Toffees, who have a tall squad and scored almost half of their goals from set-pieces in 2023/24.
Finally, his driving runs should see an improved Everton on the counter attack. Dwight McNeil is often Everton's main outlet when clearing corners or from Dominic Calvert-Lewin's flick ons, and while he's a tricky player, he isn't the quickest.
Lindstrøm adds some much needed pace to the front line, and his own attacking output numbers may see a boost once he settles into the way the blue half of Merseyside play.
