Jamie Vardy potential next club amid West Ham links

Jamie Vardy is available on a free transfer after leaving Italian side Cremonese after one season at the club.

The 39-year-old striker netted seven goals and provided a further two assists in 29 Serie A matches, enjoying a brilliant November, where he became the first Englishman to be named Serie A Player of the Month.

Vardy departed after Cremonese suffered relegation to Serie B and he is now seeking a new challenge ahead of the new campaign.

With 145 Premier League goals to his name, the former Leicester City man would be some pick up for EFL clubs looking for a rotational option at number nine.

We take a look at which clubs might be willing to offer Vardy a deal...

Premier League

West Ham United

According to Sky Sports News, West Ham are "keeping an eye" on Vardy's situation as they look to recruit a striker heading into the final few weeks of the transfer window.

The Hammers are preparing to launch an assault on the Championship title after suffering Premier League relegation and are 7/4 favourites to top the division.

Jarrod Bowen is currently favourite to finish as the second tier's top goalscorer and links with Ireland international Troy Parrott refuse to go away.

Leicester City

A fairytale return to Leicester City could be on the cards if the Foxes are serious about making an instant bounce back up to the Championship.

Another side who are favourites to win their division, the 2015/16 Premier League winners suffered a shock relegation to the third tier, just one season after dropping out of the top-flight.

New signing Conor Chaplin remains Leicester's only option at number nine and Russell Martin will surely be keen to bring another forward onboard.

Wrexham AFC

Links between Wrexham and Vardy have persisted ever since the former Premier League Golden Boot winner left Leicester in 2025.

Ever since being taken over by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, the Reds have experienced extreme success, earning three promotions in five seasons to place them just one step below the top-flight.

The Welsh outfit are not lacking choice at striker; but can they resist making a Hollywood move for Vardy?
