Jake Paul v Mike Tyson Odds for heavyweight showdown

The latest odds for this weekend's hugely-anticipated showdown between social media superstar Jake Paul and former heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson.

Who is the favourite for Jake Paul v Mike Tyson?

Like it or loathe it, Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will be sharing the ring in a professional bout in the early hours of Saturday morning, and it's the social media superstar who has been installed as the odds-on favourite.

Much has been said in the build-up to the fight, with boxing purists unable to comprehend the idea of one of the sport's finest ever fighters lacing his gloves back up almost two decades on from a haunting loss that signalled what we had all thought was the end of his career.

Those folk who enjoy some of the modern day boxing novelties however, are curious as to how a fight between two men (one being a social media superstar) with over 30 years age difference will play out.

Irrespective of what you may think, or how you envisage the fight going, this is a fight fraught with danger.

If 'Iron' Mike still packs a punch anywhere near the levels that we became accustomed to during his heyday in the mid 90s, then there is surely only one way the fight will end, but those days are obviously long behind us.

For all of Tyson's in-ring success, fight fans will vividly remember him sat on the canvas, against the ropes, beaten and exhausted after his then embarrassing and unexpected stoppage defeat at the hands of the unheralded Kevin McBride.

He hadn't even turned 40 by that point, yet here we are, looking forward to the Brooklyn-native's return some 19 years on against a man, who despite a lack of professional boxing experience, has proven to be a hard-working, gritty and tough operator.

Jake Paul continues to split opinion, even some of the biggest names in the current game are at loggerheads as to his legitimacy in the sport, with Tyson Fury and Eddie Hearn being just two of those to have thrown their support the social media man's way.

Paul, like Tyson many years earlier, has proven he can land that telling blow too, stopping seven of his 11 'professional' opponents inside the distance, including a couple of highlight reel knockouts to boot.

If age does tell this weekend, then we could very well see a seventh name added to that list, and wouldn't it be a truly sad sight to see for those of us who grew up when Tyson was at the peak of his almighty boxing powers.
