Brighton & Hove Albion are set to be without the services of versatile midfielder Jack Hinshelwood until after the international break.
Hinshelwood was in sparkling form as Brighton started the new Premier League season with an impressive 4-0 victory over Aston Villa last weekend.
The 21-year-old scored twice in quick succession as Fabian Hurzeler's side comfortably saw off the challenge of their depleted opponents.
However, he has suffered an ankle injury in training and he will now be forced to watch the next few weeks of the campaign from the sidelines.
It is a significant blow for the Seagulls given Hinshelwood's start to the season and the versatility that he can provide across a number of positions.
We've taken a look at the earliest possible date that Hinshelwood could return to first-team action for Brighton.
Hinshelwood is expected to miss up to six weeks as he works his way back to fitness.
The timeframe in question means that the midfielder would not return to action before the international break.
A six-week absence could mean that Hinshelwood has the opportunity to return when Brighton travel to Sunderland on 10th October.
However, Brighton will not want to rush the recovery of a player who has been tipped to break into the England squad over the next couple of years.
Whilst Hinshelwood could return to the Seagulls squad on Wearside, a more likely date for a return to the starting line-up could be the home game against rivals Crystal Palace on 18th October.
