Jack Grealish is set to be left out of Manchester City's Club World Cup squad with the expectation that he will leave the club in the summer transfer window.
It’s been a turbulent few years to say the least for Manchester City’s record signing, and it seems as though Grealish’s chapter at the club is set to come to an end.
The Citizens travel to the United States for the inaugural edition of the newly-formed Club World Cup in the coming weeks, and reports suggest that the winger isn’t set to be part of Pep Guardiola’s plans.
Matt Law of The Telegraph took to ‘X’ to exclusively break the news.
Jack Grealish to be left out of Club World Cup squad as Manchester City exit beckons. Plenty of Premier League and overseas interest anticipated.

These reports come just a matter of weeks after Grealish was left out of Man City’s final squad of the season in a decisive Premier League trip to Fulham with a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League up for grabs.
Fabrizio Romano followed up his Premier League squad exclusion stating that his exit this summer is “almost guaranteed,” since providing an updated on ‘X’ on 4th June reiterating that “this remains the case.”
Not only did Grealish become Man City’s record signing at the time, he became the most expensive transfer in Premier League history, so expectations were understandably high.
Leaving his boyhood club in search of silverware, his list of accolades since joining the club is hardly disappointing, but the 29 year old’s lack of involvement on occasions may frustrate the player.
bet365 Sports and Trading expert Steve Freeth said: “Being left out of the Club World Cup squad is another hammer blow for Jack Grealish and his Manchester City career.
“A step down in class could be the way forward to get his career back on track and our customers are backing him to join Everton by the end of the window.”
Should it be Everton, Tottenham, or a move abroad, the chances of Grealish remaining in Manchester come the end of the transfer window appear slim.
