Great Britain's Jack Draper has moved into the top 10 of the ATP singles world rankings for the first time following a sensational victory over Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells Masters.
23-year-old Draper has moved up six places from world number 14 to number eight after reaching his first ATP Masters 1000 final, where he will take on Denmark's Holger Rune.
Born in Sutton, London, Draper was able to pull off a miraculous 6-1 0-6 6-4 win to dethrone four-time Grand Slam champion Alcaraz of the Indian Wells title he has held for two years.
The powerful lefty becomes only the fifth British male to reach the top 10 of the ATP rankings since they began in 1973, following Greg Rusedski, Tim Henman, Andy Murray and Cameron Norrie.
Standing in Draper's way of the Indian Wells title is 21-year-old Rune, who impressively overcame world number six Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals to take his place in his fourth ATP Masters 1000 final.
Rune and Draper have met on one occasion previously on the ATP Tour, with the Dane victorious in straight sets in the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Masters last year.
