After a six-length victory in the Dante and a sensational performance in the Prix Guillaume d'Ornano, William Haggas will be hoping that Economics can claim his first Group 1 victory in Ireland this weekend.
The fact that he heads the betting ahead of Auguste Rodin, winner of the English and Irish Derby, Breeders' Cup, last year's Irish Champion Stakes and the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot, shows just how sharp the trajectory has been for the three-year-old.
Auguste Rodin was 11 lengths behind winner Goliath in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes last time out and trainer Aidan O'Brien will be looking for a much-improved display.
The record-breaking trainer also has Irish Derby winner Los Angeles, last year's runner-up Luxembourg and outsider Hans Andersen running in the main event of the Irish Champions Festival.
