Ipswich Town are reportedly looking to conclude a deal to sign goalkeeper Nick Pope from Newcastle United.
Football Insider have reported that Newcastle are willing to cash in on the England international this summer.
The Magpies are believed to want a fee in the region of £10-12 million for the 34-year-old.
Pope arrived at St James' Park from Burnley in the summer of 2022 and he has made 131 appearances for the club across the last four seasons.
He was unconvincing at times during the 2025/26 campaign and Newcastle could now move the goalkeeper on if they receive a suitable bid.
Newcastle have already secured the signing of highly-rated 20-year-old Ewen Jaouen in a deal worth around £24m and it is thought that they are not stopping there.
Eddie Howe is a big admirer of James Trafford at Manchester City and he could be open to a move after being usurped as the number one at the Etihad Stadium by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
That could open the door for Ipswich who are looking to sign a proven goalkeeper ahead of their return to the Premier League.
New boss Gary O'Neil will hope that he has the backing from the club's hierarchy to give the club the best chance of preserving their top-flight status.
Whilst Pope's distribution is a well-publicised area of weakness, he remains an excellent shot-stopper and his experience could be invaluable at Portman Road.
