Ipswich Town Championship Title Odds: Tractor Boys 13/2 after Plymouth win

Ipswich Town are 13/2 to win the 2023/24 Championship title after they defeated Plymouth Argyle 2-0 to move back into the automatic promotion places.

Kieran McKenna's outfit closed the gap to league leaders Leicester City as they made it five wins on the spin with victory at Home Park.

The lead at the top has been reduced to three points and Leicester are now 4/9 to secure the title after suffering three consecutive league defeats, the latest at home to struggling QPR.

Leeds United were unable to extend their winning streak as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town and Daniel Farke's men are 7/2 to win the title.

Southampton are 20/1 to lift the Championship title after Joe Aribo's stoppage time goal secured a dramatic 4-3 victory over Birmingham City at St Andrew's.

After winning just one of their nine league matches across the end of December to the start of February, Ipswich's automatic promotion hopes appeared to be fading as both Leeds and Southampton sustained an impressive run of form.

Omari Hutchinson's 93rd minute equaliser against West Brom may well prove to be a pivotal moment in the Tractor Boys' season, with the goal salvaging a valuable point and galvanising the squad.

Dismantling Millwall 4-0 in the following week, Ipswich followed it up by grinding out a 2-1 win against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Basement side Rotherham United were next up and despite cruising to a 3-1 lead after 29 minutes, more late heroics were required from Hutchinson, with the on-loan midfielder netting in the 95th minute to secure a 4-3 victory.

They created an abundance of chances again in their next outing against Birmingham City and their persistence was rewarded with two late goals from Jeremy Sarmiento and yes, you guessed it, Hutchinson.

A 2-0 win over Plymouth at Home Park made it five successive league wins and with a generous set of fixtures to come, Ipswich have momentum on their side as we approach the final quarter of the season.
