Inothewayurthinkin supplemented for Cheltenham Gold Cup

Grand National favourite Inothewayurthinkin has been supplemented for the Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival.

The seven-year-old impressed trainer Gavin Cromwell in a Friday morning workout and he will take on back-to-back Gold Cup winner Galopin Des Champs at a cost of £25,000.

Inothewayurthinkin was victorious in the Kim Muir at last year's Festival, before going on to secure an excellent win in the Mildmay at Aintree.

A trip to Cheltenham for the Gold Cup seemed unlikely but a fourth-placed finish in the Irish Gold Cup, where he was just seven lengths behind Galopin Des Champs, has led to a change of plan.

Gavin Cromwell told the Racing Post: "He seems to be very well in himself and he's progressive. Just like last season, he seems to be progressing as the season goes on.

Inothewayurthinkin will go off at a single-figure price for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, while connections will have one eye on Aintree where he remains at the top of the Grand National betting.
