Co-hosts India beat New Zealand by 96 runs to retain the T20 World Cup on Sunday afternoon.
It's been a tournament to remember for India, particularly for Sanju Samson, who became only the third player in history to score half centuries in both the semi-final and the final of the same T20 World Cup.
He notched 89 runs from 46 balls against New Zealand, the same score that he recorded against England, and he and Abhishek Sharma put together a remarkable 98 run stand, the highest opening partnership in a T20 World Cup final.
While Samson will steal the headlines, and rightly so, both Sharma and Ishan Kishan recorded half centuries and India finished the innings with a huge 255 total.
While England came relatively close when chasing India's 253 in the semi-final, there was never a stage in which New Zealand looked like they would put up a similar fight.
Jasprit Bumrah starred in what proved an impressive bowling display from his side, bowling New Zealand out for 159 to win the contest by 96 runs.
It's a third T20 World Cup triumph for India, retaining the trophy after beating South Africa to win the competition in 2024.
