Red Bull, Disney+ and ESPN are coming together to host a go-kart racing spectacle on Wednesday evening, as four-time F1 world champion Max Verstappen takes on 100 drivers in 'Max vs 100'.
Names from across various different worlds will be attempting to hold off the Dutchman -- who will start 101st on the grid -- from ultrarunner Arda Saatci to Love Island UK 2019 winner Amber Gill.
Coverage of the spectacle at Silverstone will begin on Disney+ and ESPN at 17:00 (BST) on Wednesday 16th September, with lights out an hour later.
As expected, a whole new set of rules and regulations has been drawn up to accommodate 101 karts on one circuit, and we've broken down the most important ones below.
Qualifying
Qualifying for Max vs 100 will be a long process, with all 100 of Verstappen's opponents vying for grid position in a sole qualifying session.
Each of the 100 drivers will get a single flying lap to set a time and determine their grid position, while the four-time F1 world champion will not take part, due to him starting 101st on the grid.
Elimination
Qualifying is crucial for Max vs 100, as every driver that Max Verstappen overtakes during the race will be immediately eliminated from the competition.
Starting higher up the grid will be significantly more beneficial, as the Dutchman will no doubt get stuck straight into dispatching his 100 opponents from the off.
Shortcuts and Fast Laps
Every driver will have the opportunity to take a 'fast lap' during the opening half of the race.
This is essentially a shortcut that was purposefully put in when the circuit was created for the event.
Verstappen will also be able to use a fast lap to his advantage, but his will only come into play in the back half of the race.
Kart Weight
Every go-kart involved in the event has identical specifications, making the playing field as level as possible.
Weights have been considered too, as every driver that is under the minimum weight will have a sealed ballast in the kart to take them up to the threshold.
Communication
All of the drivers, including Verstappen, will be able to communicate with each other during the race.
The 101 racers will be mic'd up, with communications also shared with the viewers to allow extra insight into what is going on in Verstappen and his rivals' heads as they compete.
