The United Rugby Championship is just around the corner, as Leinster Rugby get set to defend their title.
18 teams from across Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Italy and South Africa will compete across 18 rounds for a place in the play-offs and a shot at glory.
Since their introduction to the competition, just one South African side have ever won the title, with the Stormers lifting the trophy at the end of the 2021/22 season.

The United Rugby Championship is available to watch in the UK live on Premier Sports, BBC Cymru Wales and S4C, with live streaming available via Premier Player, S4C Player and BBC IPlayer.

United Rugby Championship dates
The United Rugby Championship gets underway on Friday 25th September 2026, with the final round of regular fixtures due to take place on the weekend of the 14th May 2027.
Following this will be play-offs, with the schedule below:
- Quarter-finals: 28th & 29th May
- Semi-finals: Saturday, 5th June
- Grand Final: Saturday, 19th June
