Lewis Hamilton's preparations for the 2025 Formula 1 season are well underway and excitement is palpable as the seven-time world champion commences a new chapter with Ferrari.
The Briton ended his trophy-laden association with Mercedes at the end of the 2024 campaign in favour of donning an iconic red race suit and jumping behind the wheel of a Prancing Horse.
It's an historic moment in Formula 1 as one of the world's most recognisable athletes partners with the most famous brand in motorsport, and fans can't wait to see what's in store.
Hamilton got his first taste of Ferrari F1 machinery at Fiorano, which is Ferrari's own track adjacent to their Maranello base.
The 40-year-old completed 30 laps as part of his acclimatisation programme and preparations will continue prior to official pre-season testing in Bahrain.
Ferrari booked the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for a private three-day test, where Hamilton ran the 2023-spec alongside team-mate Charles Leclerc.
The seven-time world champion will then receive another opportunity to get behind the wheel during Pirelli's 2026 tyre test, which is to be conducted over two days on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th February.
This will take place in a modified version of the SF-24, giving Hamilton the benefit of more mileage.
The 2025 Ferrari will be unveiled on Wednesday 19th February, when Hamilton will take it for a spin at Fiorano, before the official pre-season test commences in Bahrain on Wednesday 26th February.
Pirelli's Barcelona tyre test will not be televised nor streamed.
However, fans will have their first opportunity to see live coverage of Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel of a Ferrari during the official pre-season test in Bahrain.
All three days of pre-season testing will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1 in the UK. All of the running in Bahrain will also be available to stream on Sky Go and the Sky Sports app.
