When is Katarina Johnson-Thompson competing in the Heptathlon at the European Athletics Championships and how to watch
One of the all-time great heptathletes, Katarina Johnson-Thompson is hoping to put an end to her chase for an elusive European Championships gold in Birmingham.
A two-time world champion and Olympic silver medallist, the 33-year-old Liverpudlian only has one European Championships medal to show from her illustrious career, which she achieved in Berlin 2018 as she was narrowly beaten by Nafissatou Thiam.
Johnson-Thompson faces intense competition from recent Commonwealth Games champion Kate O'Connor and Switzerland's Annik Kalin, but with all the experience in the world and the support of the home crowd, she will fancy her chances at coming out on top.
When is the Heptathlon at the European Athletics Championships?
The heptathlon is scheduled to take place across Friday 14th and Saturday 15th August 2026 at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium.
