Falkirk begin their 2026/27 campaign when they travel to League Two side Edinburgh City in the Scottish League Cup on Saturday afternoon.

John McGlynn's side enjoyed a strong campaign last season as they finished sixth in the Scottish Premiership.

They have been drawn alongside Edinburgh, Ayr United, Alloa Athletic and Stranraer in the group stage of this season's Scottish League Cup and they will fancy their chances of progressing.

The hosts finished bottom of League Two last season but they secured their place in the division by beating Brora Rangers in a two-legged play-off.
