A-League Key fixtures and dates

The A-League, like many leagues across the world, is split into a regular season followed by a championship series.

After the conclusion of the regular season the team at the top of the standings is crowned Minor Premiership champions, however the top six teams move on to compete in the finals series.

A-League regular season dates

The regular season of the A-League began on the 18th October 2024 and is set to come to a conclusion on the 4th May 2025.

A-League finals series dates

The A-League finals series, beginning with the two elimination finals is set to start on the 9th May 2025.

The two-legged semi-finals are then scheduled for the 16th and 23rd May 2025.

A-League grand final date

The Grand Final of the 2024/25 A-League season is set to take place on the 31st May 2025 at the home stadium of the highest placed team.

The Australian A-League has several high profile fixtures throughout the season, including bitterly contested rivalries between clubs.

What teams are in the A-League?

The Australian A-League, like the American MLS, doesn't operate with relegations and promotions like most football leagues across Europe.

This means the 13 teams in the A-League remain the same year-on-year, although talks are ongoing to expand the league with new member clubs.
