2025 NFL Championship Prize Money: How much will players get for winning the NFL Championship?

The NFL Championship is one of the biggest sporting events on the planet as the AFC and NFC champions bid for ultimate NFL supremacy - but how much will the winning players receive for capturing the coveted Vince Lombardi trophy?

This year's showpiece will see the three-peat chasing Kansas City Chiefs lock horns with the Philadelphia Eagles for the ultimate prize in American Football in a re-run of the 2023 NFL Championship.

The hugely-anticipated rematch in New Orleans provides even bigger potential earnings for the winner, and we take a look at exactly what will be up for grabs this Sunday night.

How much will the NFL Championship winners get?

Each member of the winning team could collect $171,000 (£138,000) - a rise of $7,000 from last year - although that total is dependent upon a number of factors.

Players will be eligible for the full winners bonus if:

• They have featured in at least three games during the regular season or playoffs, and are on the team’s active or inactive list when the NFL Championship takes place.
• They have featured in at least eight games (regular or postseason), irrespective of whether they are on the active/inactive list for the NFL Championship.
• They are a 'veteran player' who has suffered an injury during the regular season, but remain under contract with the franchise.

If a player doesn't fulfil at least one of those requirements, then they will be eligible to receive 50 percent of the bonus ($85,500) if:

• They have featured in either one or two games during the regular season or playoffs, and are on the team’s active or inactive list when the NFL Championship takes place.
• They have featured in between three and seven games during the regular season or playoffs, irrespective of whether they are on the active/inactive list for the NFL Championship.
• They are a 'first-year player' who has suffered an injury during the regular season, but remain under contract with the franchise.

How much will the NFL Championship losers get?

To soften the blow of falling at the final hurdle, and missing out on a coveted NFL Championship winners ring, there is still a monetary return for players on the losing team, with a potential $96,000 (£77,500) being awarded.

Again, identical to the thresholds for the winning team bonuses, losing team bonuses are distributed based on season appearances, contract length and current roster status.
