Sunday's Uttoxeter Horse Racing Betting Tips and Odds

15:00 – Go On Chez @ 7/1
13:20 – Gale Mahler @ 13/8
13:50 – Hyland @ 15/8

15:00 – Go On Chez @ 7/1

Fourteen runners are set to go to post for the feature £75,000 Class 2 3m2f bet365 Summer Cup Handicap Chase from Uttoxeter (15.00) on Sunday afternoon.

Emma Lavelle's representative Hang In There heads the weights from a mark of 155, and the majority of his opposition will have to race from out of the handicap proper, but Go On Chez, representing the burgeoning training partnership of Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero, is able to race from his correct rating of 130 and therefore has a handy racing weight of 10st 3lb to carry over this stiff staying trip.

Greenall and Guerriero trained a winner and a second at Bangor on Friday, and they are 6-23 (26% +£2.96) with their runners over fences at Uttoxeter.

Henry Brooke rode that recent Bangor winner and he is a notable 71-325 (22% +£6.10) when riding for Greenall and Guerriero.

Brooke is 4-7 when riding Go On Chez, and it seems significant that he is renewing that successful association on Sunday, seeing as he will need to match his lowest riding weight in the past 12 months.

Go On Chez has a remarkably consistent chasing record. He has an 8-17 strike-rate over fences including a win over this distance, a win on this course and a win at this time of year.

The Malinas gelding has reached the first three on another six occasions and produced an encouraging preparatory effort when fourth at Stratford last month.

All of those eight victories came on good ground, including when registering a peak Racing Post Rating (RPR) of 137 with a ready Ludlow victory in April, and he should prove hard to beat if reproducing a similar level of form back at Uttoxeter this weekend.

13:20 – Gale Mahler @ 13/8

Henry Brooke is a notable 7-16 (44% +£27.45) when riding for Langton trainer Adrian Keatley, who is 3-15 in the past 14 days, and Brooke is 3-3 when riding Gale Mahler, his mount in the opening Class 3 2m4f novices' hurdle at Uttoxeter (13.20).

The five-year-old Mahler mare appreciated the better ground when winning her second start in bumpers at Southwell in May and she defied a penalty in convincing fashion at Kelso later that month.

The opposition may have been limited when she made a winning hurdling debut over an extended 2m2f on good ground at Market Rasen earlier this month, but there was no denying the promising speed she displayed to clear away on the run-in and she looks capable of completing a four-timer in this stronger race over an intermediate distance that promises to suit.

13:50 – Hyland @ 15/8

Hyland is the pick of Nicky Henderson's two representatives in the Class 3 2m4f bet365 Novices' Limited Handicap Chase at Uttoxeter (13.50).

The seven-year-old was a good hurdler with a 4-15 record at up to 3m including a Class 2 success at Cheltenham in October, but the early signs suggest he is going to be an even better chaser, a suggestion which concurs with the French-bred's pedigree.

The son of the American sire Turgeon bettered his best hurdling RPR of 141 when dotting up off 135 on his chasing debut over this intermediate trip at Southwell recently and he is capable of progressing enough from the experience to follow up from a 7lb higher mark of 142.
