There are four fixtures in Britain on Tuesday and Racing Post tipster Graeme Rodway returns with his best bets across the cards.

The Green Scheme Discounts For Greener Travel Apprentice Handicap (2.15) kicks things off at Ripon and Bringbackmemories is capable of bouncing back from a poor run last time.

The Iain Jardine-trained gelding never got competitive on heavy ground at Haydock three weeks ago, but the testing conditions are an obvious excuse and he is better judged on his previous form. He had been running consistently well before that blip on his last outing.

Bringbackmemories was an easy winner over this 1m2f trip at Haydock in June and he followed that with two excellent seconds off this mark at Beverley and York. Those runs came over 1m2f and 1m4f, but his best RPR was at this trip so this looks like his optimum.

Jardine won this race last year with a similarly tough type and is fancied to strike again.

3.40 Newbury - Crack Shot @ SP

The Outdoor Digital Productions Handicap (3.40) is the feature race at Newbury and it's worth taking a chance on Crack Shot making it second time lucky since going handicapping.

The son of Kingman won a maiden at Nottingham in June and progressed again when second under a penalty at Hamilton last month, but took a backward step on handicap bow last time.

He was beaten eight and three-quarter lengths into fifth of 15, but showed up well for a long way and maybe the combination of a step up to 1m2f and testing ground found him out. He certainly faded late as though his stamina gave out and the drop back to a mile should suit.

The return to better ground should also be in Crack Shot's favour and, if he can return to the form he showed in novice events, there is a chance he can bounce back under Oisin Murphy.

5.00 Ripon - Spantik @ SP

Back to Ripon and the Season Finale Saturday 30th September Handicap (5.00) looks like a good opportunity for Spantik to return to winning ways at a course where he often runs well.

Two of Spantik's three highest Racing Post Ratings have been achieved at Ripon and one of those came over course and distance last year when second behind dual subsequent winner Evaluation. The front two pulled five lengths clear that day and a reproduction would do it here.

He has been below form since, but has returned from a break with solid efforts in four starts this season and his best run came over this 2m trip at Catterick last month when he finished second behind Baez. The winner franked the form by going in again at York on her next start.

Spantik came off the bridle early when dropped back to 1m6f at Redcar last time but stayed on strongly to finish only a length behind in third and the return to 2m could do the trick here.
