York's Ebor meeting continues on Thursday and the Group 1s keep flowing with the feature Yorkshire Oaks.
That race provides a clash of the generations, while the card as a whole is all about the girls, with other Group races and handicaps restricted to fillies and mares.
Here are the latest horse racing betting tips for Thursday's card at York from the Racing Post's Keith Melrose.
15:00 - Thunder Run @ 7/1
15:35 - You Got To Me @ 9/2
16:10 - Fairy Glen @ 8/1
15:00 - Thunder Run @ 7/1
This Heritage Handicap has been sponsored for many years by Clipper Logistics, whose grey silks are also well known in the North as well as big races elsewhere. They have never won this race before, but have strong claims this year with the unexposed THUNDER RUN.
This horse is bred to be a late bloomer. His dam, Astonished, was nearly four by the time she made the track and she peaked at that age.
He made his own debut in June of his three-year-old season and, after a promising second on debut, he won his next two starts, looking a classy handicapper at the least.
Thunder Run moved into handicaps last time, going off odds on at Thirsk. A combination of inexperience and a wide draw did for him that day, as he was pretty keen up with the pace. In the end, he did not do badly to hang on for third given the energy he expended and his edging left under pressure.
It may well be that getting in some experience was part of the plan. These sorts of races are rarely won by greenhorns and Thunder Run will be a bit wiser than he was.
Given his connections, it would not be a surprise at all if this race were to prove his big target.
15:35 - You Got To Me @ 9/2
The market is finding it tough to split the top conteders in the Yorkshire Oaks.
That is fair enough, as their form is fairly closely matched but it is hard to see why Irish Oaks winner YOU GOT TO ME is not more prominent in the group.
For a start, she has the beating of Content on their meeting at the Curragh, while Emily Upjohn comes here under a bit of a cloud and has never been a horse that has stood much racing.
You Got To Me is a clear improver, having built on excusable efforts in the Oaks and Ribblesdale when justifying strong support to win the Irish Oaks last time.
Queen Of The Pride is clearly respected, but she has not had the sort of Group 1 tests that You Got To Me has already passed.
With both having scope to improve further, it seems obvious that You Got To Me is the bet in the race.
16:10 - Fairy Glen @ 8/1
Sea Just In Time represents last year's winning yard in this race, with William Haggas having taken this race 12 months ago as well as in 2014.
Haggas thrives with slow burners and Sea Just In Time might be another. The only thing is that she looked the full package on her debut in May, but has yet to kick on in two runs since.
As a result, FAIRY GLEN looks a really good bet against her. She lacks the breathtaking debut but is otherwise just as promising.
Each run has represented another career-best effort, including her third in Listed company at Newmarket last time.
Fairy Glen rolled around under pressure that day, suggesting she still has something to learn about her job.
That lesson at Newmarket will not be lost on her and she can step up to the level required in this race. If she does that, her price is nothing like a reflection of her chances.
