The jumps game is going up a gear this week and two of the best meetings on Tuesday come over the sticks at Fontwell and Warwick.
There is also racing on the Flat from Beverley and Newcastle in Britain and Listowel in Ireland.
Here are the latest horse racing betting tips for Tuesday’s racing from Racing Post tipster Graeme Rodway.
14:30 Fontwell – Cloud Dancer @ 6/1
15:20 Beverley – Emaraaty Ana @ 10/11
15:30 Warwick - Pull Again Green @ 7/2
14:30 Fontwell – Cloud Dancer @ 6/1
Gary and Josh Moore love a winner at local track Fontwell and appear to have an outstanding chance of landing the 2m11/2f handicap hurdle (14:30) with the lightly raced Cloud Dancer.
The five-year-old was successful on his debut over hurdles at Newbury last year before returning from a long absence to record a career-best effort when third at Ascot on his seasonal reappearance last season. That proves he goes well fresh and can show his best here following another 153 days off.
Cloud Dancer was below that level on his final three runs of last term, but probably found the ground softer than ideal on those occasions and that definitely looked the case when he finished last at Uttoxeter last time. That isn’t his true form and he can be forgiven for the run.
He returns here having dropped 4lb in the weights to a career-low mark of 115, which is 10lb lower than his peak BHA rating, and the visor he wore when so disappointing at Uttoxeter last time is now removed. There is a good chance that he can bounce back to form, provided conditions don’t soften.
15:20 Beverley – Emaraaty Ana @ 10/11
The best race of the day is the 5f conditions race (15:20) at Beverley and it looks like a golden opportunity for the former Group 1 winner Emaraaty Ana to get his head back in front for the first time since February.
Emaraaty Ana has generally been out of sorts since his win at Doha over the winter, but showed his best form in Britain this season when only narrowly denied by Democracy Dilemma in the Beverley Bullet over course and distance in August and a reproduction of that run should be good enough.
To further aid his chance, Emaraaty Ana is getting weight from both of his main rivals here with Clarendon House conceding 7lb and Tees Spirit 4lb, and should be too good on these terms.
Rain would be a worry because all of Emaraaty Ana’s best form is on good or faster but, provided conditions stay no worse than good, it will be a surprise if he can’t take full advantage of this spot.
15:30 – Pull Again Green @ 7/2
The 3m11/2f handicap chase (15:30) is a cracking race for the time of the year and preference is for Pull Again Green, who is well handicapped on his best form and shapes like he is on his way back.
The Fergal O’Brien-trained eight-year-old mixes hurdling and chasing and looked to be suited by the return to fences at Worcester last time when beaten only four lengths into third behind the smart pair Kinondo Kwetu and Hang In There. The front three pulled 18 lengths clear of the rest of the field.
That was a stronger race than this and Pull Again Green has dropped 1lb in the ratings, getting him in nicely off top weight. He might have a class edge against several rivals who have lower BHA figures.
He needs to build on that last run to beat a promising diva like Get Up Mush, but there should be more to come from Pull Again Green now that he is back in form provided the ground doesn’t deteriorate.
All of the selection’s best form has come on good and good to soft ground, so keep a weather watch.
