The latest horse racing betting tips for Wednesday's racing from the Racing Post's Keith Melrose.
15:45 Nottingham - Four Adaay @ 5/1
17:15 Musselburgh - Strike Rate @ 8/1
17:45 Kempton - Willem Twee @ 6/5
15:45 Nottingham - Four Adaay @ 5/1
Nottingham's sprint final is an attractive prize for what is an effective 0-80 and the winner will take home more than £15,000.
The Rod Millman yard is very good at placing lower-grade horses to good effect and they look to be bringing FOUR ADAAY to peak at just the right time.
After a career spent off marks in the 70s, a lean spell from mid-2023 meant that Four Adaay slipped down to a mark of 62 in midsummer this year.
She has since rediscovered her form, finishing second at Yarmouth and Sandown before winning back at the latter track 19 days ago.
Her win came on soft ground and Four Adaay has plenty of other good runs with give in the turf to call upon.
Wednesday's meeting is likely to be even softer than that, but she will have fewer concerns about the ground than many of these.
She remains on a good mark and is not really stepping up in grade, for all the prize fund might suggest as much.
17:15 Musselburgh - Strike Rate @ 8/1
Modest horses like STRIKE RATE can find life tough in handicaps to begin with.
Unexposed horses are treated cautiously, which helps to keep the most progressive in check but forces the genuinely limited ones to wait.
Meanwhile, we can learn something about these horses and Strike Rate does not look bereft of ability.
Since stepping up to middle distances he has put in a couple of sound third-placed efforts, including one at Musselburgh.
He now steps up further in trip, and takes on older rivals. A three-year-old off 46 in a low-grade staying handicap like this really ought to be winning if they have any appreciable ability, and Strike Rate has shown that of late.
Local boy Andrew Mullen is one of the top jockeys at this track in recent years and is a good partner to have around Musselburgh.
17:45 Kempton - Willem Twee @ 6/5
The last 12 months have seemed to confirm a long-held suspicion that WILLEM TWEE is a Group-standard horse on the all-weather, where there are precious few Group-race opportunities especially for sprinters.
Races like this £25,000 contest are therefore the sort in which he can make his way.
In November, Willem Twee won over course and distance for the first time, having previously impressed when crossing the line in front back in August 2022 before he was subsequently disqualifed for a prohibited substance.
He has since won at Lingfield, finished third to subsequent Sprint Cup winner Montassib at Group 3 level and won a Racing League handicap off 106 in three all-weather runs.
His form stands out in this field on the all-weather. The opposing Equilateral has comparable turf form but has never run on the all-weather in Britain.
Oisin Murphy is up, Willem Twee is drawn handily in stall two and he deserves to be a warm order.
